When I think of skateboarding, my mind takes me right to, Venice Beach, living that sweet California dream, where skate culture isn't just a pastime, it is a way of life, it's something that is in your bones.
Taking a lifelong fascination with skate culture, my riot girl attitude, and willingness to stick out from the crowd, I took colour inspiration from the 60s/70s and a groovy but subtle type treatment, chucked in some DIT halftone image styling and slapdash layout to re-create this project.
This magazine is rough n ready and for people who live for riding n rolling, the people who don't strive for perfection but get up, try, work hard, fail, and keep doing it anyway, this is for those whose hobbies were always in their bones.
